Volcano erupts in Iceland again, molten rocks spew from fissures
Icelandic authorities have downgraded the threat level of the volcanic system but continue to warn of potential further eruptions. The ongoing rise of land in southwest Iceland caused by magma accumulation underground increases the risk of volcanic activity. "Warning: A volcanic eruption started north of Sylingarfell," the Met Office said on its website.
