A volcanic eruption in southwestern Iceland has subsided, but further eruptions are possible in the coming months. The evacuation of the Blue Lagoon thermal spa has been carried out, and communities on the Reykjanes Peninsula were affected. Hot water supply will be restored by midday on Friday.
