Screening mammography saves lives
I wrote last week about how lung cancer screening in smokers saves lives. Most smokers in India are men and while lung cancer is the second commonest cancer in men in India, the commonest cancer by far, irrespective of sex, is breast cancer, with a rising incidence (partly because women are living longer and partly because of improved detection), and the commonest cause of cancer death in women.
