Heavy rain in Mumbai, IMD issues yellow alert for today
The city witnessed a downpour overnight (July 5-6), recording 69mm of rain. The Indian Meteorological Department categorises showers between 64.5mm and 115.5mm as heavy rain. In its five-day forecast, the weather bureau has issued a yellow alert for Friday, indicating heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in the city. From July 8-10, Mumbai is likely to see moderate rainfall.
