Half of 20,000 Pocso cases are still under trial in Karnataka
In Karnataka, at least 50% of over 20,000 cases filed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act-2012, are still under trial. This apart, in cases where trial has been completed, acquittals are five times that of convictions.
