EV push to help 20k more find employment in Delhi
When Delhi government launched its electric vehicle policy in August 2020, the share of EVs in new vehicle registrations was 1.2%. Presenting the budget on Saturday, deputy CM and finance minister Manish Sisodia revealed that the figure had climbed to 10% in February 2022. A steady increase like this would help create 20,000 new jobs in the next five years, he claimed.
