Boat capsizes off Versova, 1 dead, 1 missing
A fishing boat carrying three labourers capsized 2 km off Versova late Saturday evening. While one swam to safety and the body of another labourer washed ashore at Juhu, the third occupant remained missing. Search operations by fire brigade teams, navy and local ward level staff were under way throughout Sunday. Police learned from the survivor that the fibre boat lost control due to bad weather and capsized. There has been a ban on fishing expeditions during the rains.
