Water woes as Mumbai gets only 50% rainfall in June
A 10% water cut was implemented across the city starting Monday following just 230.4mm rainfall or less than 50% of the average 493.1mm for the month of June so far. Water stocks in the seven catchment area lakes have also dipped to 9% of their total capacity, and with no heavy rain forecast by the IMD in the coming days, there could be a possibility of a further water cut, reports Richa Pinto.
