Telangana may lose some Lok Sabha seats to delimitation
Telangana is expected to lose three to four seats in the Lok Sabha if delimitation is based on population, according to a report by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Currently, Telangana has 17 seats, but this could be reduced to 34 by 2026. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has criticized the move, describing it as a threat to southern states. Telangana's leaders are preparing to fight for the state's rights and argue that its Lok Sabha seats should not be reduced based on its current population.
