Shrubs to lead Delhi's charge for green cover
A large portion of Delhi's mass plantation drive will be dominated by the shrubs instead of the canopy or large trees. According to officials, out of the approximately 27.6 lakh saplings to be planted in the current financial year, over 20 lakhs are shrubs. Only 7.5 lakhs will be large- or medium-canopy trees.
