Rlys halves local A/C single fares as heat rises in Mum
Single journey fares for suburban air-conditioned trains have been reduced by 50% to attract more passengers. There will, however, be no cut in the season ticket rates as the railway ministry feels they are already highly subsidised. In a move to rationalise the rates of single journey first class tickets, fares have been slashed by 40-50%. The new fares will come into effect from May 5.
