Power firms can levy high fuel cost in bills, says MERC
Though consumers got relief with no electricity tariff hike from April 1, the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) on Wednesday allowed the four power utility firms to apply for quarterly fuel adjustment charges (FAC) in bills. This means Mumbaikars’ monthly electricity bill could rise in the range of 3% to 10%.
