Over 70 teachers to spread the word in jails across Delhi
In a bid to provide quality education to inmates, more than 70 teachers have been brought on board in 15 jails across Delhi prisons. In February, prison authorities had approached the home department of Delhi government to provide teachers for primary, secondary, sports and technical education. “Accepting the proposal, the government has provided 34 visiting teachers for primary and secondary education, 17 for sports and 22 for technical and vocational training,” an officer said.
