Order on stunning animals kept in abeyance: BBMP
The Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA)-Bengaluru Urban district, a statutory body under the state government, had on April 1, instructed the BBMP to direct all slaughterhouses and chicken shops to ensure animals are mandatorily “stunned” before they are slaughtered for meat.
