NCP names Nimbalkar, Eknath for legislative council polls
The NCP on Thursday nominated legislative council chairman Ramraje Nimbalkar and former BJP leader Eknath Khadse as its nominees for the June 20 legislative council elections. While Nimbalkar's nomination was expected, Khadse's assumes significant political importance particularly as he is under the scanner of the Enforcement Directorate for his alleged involvement in a money laundering case. Once elected to the council, Khadse is expected to give sleepless nights to the BJP.
