Mumbai doc downloads app to pay power bill, loses Rs 9L
A senior citizen doctor from Santacruz (W) lost nearly Rs 9 lakh within an hour after a fraudster posing as the customer care executive of a power distribution company convinced him to download a remote access app on his phone and sent him a link to pay his pending bills.
