KEM hospital first to get cadaver retrieval lab in India
Civic-run KEM Hospital in Parel where the country's first heart and kidney transplant took place, added another first to its list of achievements. On Tuesday, it became the first public hospital in the country to open a cadaver retrieval operation theatre where surgeons interested in transplant can undergo training. "Our first training session will be held on April 17-18,'' said Dr Sujata Patwardhan, head of KEM's nephrology department.
