Delhi: What’s driving these women to take the wheel
When Geeta Devi held the steering wheel of a bus at the Driver Training Institute in Burari on April 1, she proudly announced that she would drive a Delhi Transport Corporation bus in a few months. Around six years ago, she decided on driving as a career, but many people ridiculed her and told her that driving commercial vehicles was a profession for men. She took that as a challenge and landed a job as a car driver in 2016.
