Delhi: Discounts on liquor discontinued to curb queues
The days of buying liquor at a discounted price in the capital are over. Following complaints about big crowds outside liquor stores eager to grab alcohol brands at concessional rates and facing repeated attacks from BJP and Congress ahead of municipal polls, Delhi government’s excise department issued orders on Monday discontinuing all discounts permissible under the new excise policy.
