Cops foil attempts to play Hanuman Chalisa in temples
Some pro-Hindu fringe outfits launched a campaign across the state on Monday against what they called “unauthorised use of loudspeakers in mosques”. Members of these outfits attempted to play Hanuman Chalisa, Suprabhata and other devotional songs in some temples on Monday, but police foiled their bid in most areas.
