CM OKs proposal to tag Thane Creek ‘Ramsar site’
Chief minister Uddhav Thackeray has approved a proposal seeking “Ramsar site” status for the Thane Creek which includes the Thane Creek Flamingo Sanctuary. The proposal will now be forwarded to the union ministry for environment forests and climate change for final approval.
