Chandrayaan-3 now 1,437km away from Moon's surface; 100km orbit on Aug 16The Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) has brought its Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft to within 4,313km of the Moon's surface, achieving a third lunar-bound manoeuvre. The next stage happens on 14 August when the distance between the spacecraft and the Moon is reduced further, and on 16 August when Chandrayaan-3 enters a 100km circular orbit.
