Only 81% students appeared for the biology paper of Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) that kickstarted on Thursday morning, whereas maths saw 96% attendance later in the afternoon.Around 2.2 lakh students had registered for the exam. Around 2.2 lakh students had registered for the exam. While biology was easy, many students found the maths paper lengthy and were unable to finish it. Milind Chippalakatti, national head, knowledge management, Deeksha, said the questions were memory and concept-based, and not assertion reasoning or statement-based. There were no out-of-syllabus questions and an average student can score about 30-35 marks out of 60 in biology.
