BMC offers empty plots to dump abandoned vehicles
With police commissioner Sanjay Pandey prioritising the removal of abandoned vehicles to free up space on the streets, the BMC has chipped in by offering vacant plots in each of its 24 wards to dump these “khataras”. Also in the pipeline are plans to consider a 10,000-square-metre plot in Mahul for dumping of vehicles.
