Animal cruelty: Society members in the soup
The animal rights NGO, Plant and Animals Welfare Society (PAWS-Mumbai), had intervened in this case and assisted the affected animal feeder, Sandhya Mehta, to recently lodge a formal complaint at Bhayandar police station for criminal intimidation and animal cruelty under IPC sections 506, 429, 34, and section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.
