Ajit Pawar refutes graft charges in sugar factory sale case
Deputy CM Ajit Pawar refuted allegations of corruption raised by opposition in the sale of the Jarandeshwar sugar factory in Satara, pointing out it was valued at Rs 39 crore but finally sold for over Rs 65 crore. On the other hand, when Harshavardhan Patil (now in BJP) was cooperation minister, sugar factories were auctioned at a low rate and no one made a noise, he alleged.
