12 'severely hurt' as Mum-Durgapur flight hits turbulence
Twelve passengers were injured when a SpiceJet Mumbai-Durgapur flight encountered severe turbulence during descent at the destination. The Boeing 737 (VT-SLH) was operating as SG-945 when it flew into turbulence."The aircraft landed safely at Durgapur. The 13 severely injured passengers were taken to hospital after they were given medical assistance on arrival," said a senior aviation official.
