1,230 more trees to go for Delhi Metro Phase-IV
The forest department has given permission to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to fell an additional 1,230 trees in the medium dense forest cover of Rohini for the extension of the Metro Phase IV project, officials have said. Earlier, the department had given a nod to the felling of 2,940 trees in different stretches between Janakpuri West and Mukarba Chowk.
